January started off with a stunner of a sunrise.

On January 8th, the Waning Crescent Moon and the

Bright Star Anterest decided to share the morning sky.

Mother Nature threw us a curve ball on January 12th - 15th and blew in an arctic cold front with temps as low as -30. The day before the storm hit, I captured this shot of the mountain tops and the dramatic clouds. A Cold Wind Blows Over the Absaroka Mountains - Pitchfork Road - Meeteetse, Wyoming.

Sparrows, finding shelter in the storm. On this bitter cold Friday in the Meeteetse area, the temps have stayed around -17 below all day and with wind and snow, the tiny sparrows have an amazing ability to stay warm.
